Lenten Series
This year’s Lenten Series invites us to examine our roots to understand who we are today as members of the worldwide Anglican Communion. Together, we will trace our shared history, stemming from the witness of the Twelve Apostles, through the development of the Roman Catholic Church, to Augustine of Canterbury, the first Archbishop of Canterbury, and finally to the aftermath of the American Revolution and the formation of The Episcopal Church.
Over four weeks, we will prayerfully discern our Anglican roots, explore our distinctive practices of worship and prayer, and examine our enduring call to serve the poor and marginalized. Each session will highlight significant leaders, historical moments, theological insights, prayers, and ministries of service, helping us connect our tradition to our life together at St. Alban’s.
We will meetat 6 pm on March 11 and March 18. You do not need to attend all sessions to find meaning.
