St. Alban’s Episcopal Church is a warm and welcoming community of faith in Newtown Square, PA. We are rooted in the Episcopal tradition and guided by our mission:
“We strive to be the voice, heart, hands, and feet of Jesus Christ.”
At St. Alban’s, worship is at the center of our life together, but so is community. Families, children, neighbors, and newcomers all have a place here. With Sunday School and childcare each week, a vibrant choir, Bible study, and fellowship opportunities, we seek to grow together in faith while supporting one another in daily life.
St. Alban’s is proud to offer a range of ministries with more being added as interest and opportunity grows.
At St. Alban’s, everything we do is rooted in Jesus’ two greatest commandments:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.”
and
“Love your neighbor as yourself.”
These two commandments shape our common life and guide our mission.
Love God
We gather to worship with joy and reverence. We seek to know Christ more deeply through prayer, Scripture, lifelong learning, and faithful discipleship. We strive to grow in our relationship with God so that our lives reflect God’s love.
Love Neighbor
We believe every person is created in the image of God and is worthy of dignity, compassion, and welcome. We seek to serve those in need, build authentic relationships, and work for justice, mercy, and peace in our community and beyond.
Our Mission
Because we love God and love our neighbor, our mission statement is: We strive to be the voice, heart, hands, and feet of Jesus Christ. Through worship, fellowship, learning, and service, we seek to share God’s love and invite others to join us in following Jesus.
At St. Alban’s, we believe that every person deserves to experience the love of Christ and the joy of belonging to a faith community. That’s why we are committed to being an Invite, Welcome, Connect church.
