Property & Sustainability

Why This Matters

Our buildings and grounds are more than simply property. They are the places that make so much of our worship, fellowship, service, and ministry possible. Our Property & Sustainability Team helps us care faithfully for these spaces today while planning responsibly for the future.

Ways To Get Involved

PROPERTY & SUSTAINABILITY

Property & Sustainability oversees the maintenance and care of our church, parish facilities, grounds, and rectory. We are especially grateful for the tremendous amount of sweat equity our volunteers contribute. Whenever possible, members of the team roll up their sleeves and do the work themselves, while also coordinating professional repairs and larger projects when needed.

The team also helps us look beyond the immediate repair list, identifying future needs, planning for the long-term care of our facilities, and helping us steward our resources responsibly. As part of that stewardship, we seek ways to care for our property that reflect our responsibility to care for God’s creation.

COLUMBARIUM COMMITTEE

The Columbarium Committee cares for our Columbarium and the beautiful grounds surrounding it. The committee prepares niches for internments and tends the space so that it remains a peaceful, beautiful, and a dignified place for prayer and remembrance for families and all who come to visit.

Much of this ministry happens quietly and behind the scenes, but its impact can be seen everywhere. Caring for the places entrusted to us is in and of itself an act of stewardship, as we help to ensure that St. Alban’s remains a welcoming and beautiful place for generations to come.
