Leadership Ministry

Leadership at St. Alban’s is a ministry of service. Our clergy and lay leaders work together to discern where God is calling us, care for the life and resources of the parish, and help St. Alban’s live more fully into its mission.

Leadership Ministries

RECTOR

The Rector serves as the spiritual and pastoral leader of the parish. The Reverend Kenneth J. Katona+ works alongside the Vestry and other ministry leaders to guide the worship, mission, pastoral care, and overall life of St. Alban’s.

VESTRY

The Vestry is the elected lay leadership of St. Alban’s. Working in partnership with the Rector, Vestry members help oversee the mission, finances, property, and ministries of the parish while prayerfully discerning our priorities for the future.

WARDENS

Our Wardens provide particular leadership within the Vestry. The Rector’s Warden and Accounting Warden work closely with the Rector and Vestry to support the spiritual, administrative, and financial life of the parish.

RECTOR EMERITUS

The Rector Emeritus, the Reverend Winston Welty+, has a particularly special relationship with St. Alban’s. Fr. Winston served as Rector from 1980 until 2000 and returned to St. Alban’s in 2025, when he was named Rector Emeritus. He continues to share in the life of the parish, preaching and presiding approximately once a month.

MUSIC DIRECTOR & ORGANIST

Our Music Director & Organist, Dr. Paula Lee-Seo, provides leadership for the musical life of our worship, working with the Rector and our singers to help us worship God with beauty, reverence, and joy.

MUSIC DIRECTOR EMERITUS

Our Music Director Emeritus, Art Kalemkarian, served St. Alban’s faithfully as Music Director and Organist for eleven years. In recognition of his years of dedicated service and the important role he has played in the musical life of our parish, Art was named Music Director Emeritus upon his retirement in 2026. He remains a beloved part of the St. Alban’s community and its musical legacy.
At St. Alban’s, leadership is not simply about making decisions. It is about serving together, listening for the movement of the Holy Spirit, and helping our community grow in its mission to be the voice, heart, hands, and feet of Jesus Christ.
