Outreach

At St. Alban’s, we take seriously Jesus’ call to care for those in need and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Our faith calls us not only to gather for worship, but to go out into the world as the voice, heart, hands, and feet of Jesus Christ. Through our Outreach ministries, we seek to put that faith into action by building relationships with community partners and serving our neighbors in practical and meaningful ways. This commitment grows directly out of our core values of loving God and loving our neighbor.

Who We Support

ST. MARY'S FOOD BANK

St. Mary’s Food Bank is one of the ways we respond to hunger in our community. Throughout the year, St. Alban’s collects food and other needed items to help keep the pantry stocked and provide assistance to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.

MOTHER OF MERCY HOUSE

Mother of Mercy House serves the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, providing a place of welcome, practical support, and assistance to people in need. Members of St. Alban’s support their ministry in a variety of ways, including preparing and providing lunches.

ST. JAMES SCHOOL

St. James School is another important community partner of St. Alban’s. We support the school and its mission of providing educational opportunities and a caring community for children and families in Philadelphia.
Our Outreach ministries give everyone at St. Alban’s opportunities to participate. Sometimes that means donating food or needed supplies. Sometimes it means preparing a meal, giving financially, or showing up to serve. However we participate, our goal is the same: to love our neighbors not only in words, but through our actions.
